Default Power steering whine noise...

well this just started happening about 2 weeks ago...

one day i noticed when turning through a parking lot that when i hit a sharp turn, my power steering starts a whine like its running out of fluid or something...

i mean its not like super loud or anything, but i can hear it while in the car with the windows down when making sharp turns....

i checked the fluid level and its looks like its where it normally is...

suggestions?

I had the same thing. The pump was bad. Dealer replaced under warranty.

Huh. My car has always done when I have the wheel turned all the way. I Figured it was normal.

What you're referring to is normal. If onf1r is describing what I think he is, it is the power steering pump. It should be a little harder to steer, because the pump is not helping you as much.

Well, it's the next step actually.
It always makes noise before you can feel anything.
Sometimes, fresh fluid can correct this...

Recommendation:
1. Flush.
2. Lucas power steering conditioner.
3. New Motorcraft fluid.
