VERY nice car - congrats and welcome to the forums. I can't even imagine how much your status with the chickies is going to upgrade...LOL - trust me, your friends with beamers will wish they had the attention you're going to get.
Although it does make me wonder about my parents... my first car was a 1978 AMC Hornet I paid $75.00 for... [sm=smiley35.gif]

I think another huge contributor to my parents buying this for me is because my dad is a car fanatic and if he was even going to buy a mustang for me, he wouldnt buy anything else but a V8. And of course he gets to drive it until I get my license lol.

Who makes those grills professor? They look absolutely amazing. I want to add something not too expensive but will look good on the Stang in the next couple of weeks, but i'm not sure what to get. Any suggestions guys? Thanks
I want to get the windows tinted but my dad keeps insisting that it's illegal to put a darker tint on the car than what the car came factory with.

Ha! I'm like Viking. Only I was allowed to work after school and save up for the car my Dad picked out for me. A 1969 Pontiac Bonneville Station Wagon. Woodgrain on the sides. My biggest fear was stopping at a light when I had a tailwind. Blue smoke would envelop the car so badly it was tought to see the light turn green.
Times they are a changin'.
Sorta.
Now I had to beg the wife to let me buy a Mustang. And I'm 43!!!

RE: My New 06' GT
Congratulations dude! You must have a really cool dad.
My first ride was a piece of **** 69' fastback 351W that I bought for $1,200 in 1989 when I was 15 years old. I spent 2 years and every paycheck from my McDonalds, burger flipping job working on it because I didn't have a liscense either. I drove it for 2 years and to be honest, it was still a piece of **** when I sold it to my brother because I needed the money for college but, that bee-otch was fast. I've been kicking myself in the *** ever since.
Have fun and don't kill yourself. Your ride is faster than mine was and I almost crashed a few times.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys!
Well I have a "0" period this year so there is much more homework than I had last year, but next year I'll only have 6 classes so I think I'm going to work on the weekdays.

my first car was a turd-brown 87 Plymouth Reliant that once made it to 73 ( going down a big hill - lol) let's just say it wasn't too fun when NJ upped the speed limit to 65, meaning you now had to go 70...
my 05 V6 vert is my first new car

RE: My New 06' GT
Well since we're all reliving the past...
My first car was a 65 mustang. I got real lucky talking my parents into buying it for my when I was 16. I had that car for 12 years until I bought my 06 GT last August.
I love my 06 more than any car I've ever driven, but I'm still sad that I sold my 65 last month. [sm=smiley19.gif]
Congrats on your first mustang. I hope your dad doesn't decide to keep it for himself and give you his car.
