+1 All I know is that when, or if, Ford puts the Boss or Mach 1 badge on its next specialty mustang......It BETTER have a 5.4 or this Saleen 302 in it.

From what I read... the number is like one of those things you can put on and off... IE it's not painted or anything. You can just pull it off. (Kinda like some stuff you put on windows, but lacking actual sticky residue.)

I saw this car at the NY auto show. It's done by saleen. The numbers are magnetic decals and can be removed at will.
The car is only available in grabber orange as a tribute to Parnelli Jones.

Wow, that is awesome. I love those exhaust tips, and the seat treatment is really fantastic, very vintage looking. The numbers are neat, but a little too "racer" for a daily driver. If they come off that would be perfect, just pop them on for car shows!
It looks like Saleen is filling the void that Ford is leaving in the specialty Mustang area. I mean the Shelby is nice, but come on Ford, is that it? The Mustang is your only decent product, put some more effort behind it!

It's up on the Saleen web site now:

Sure enough the racing numbers are actually static clings. Easily removable and can be reinstalled too. Mid- to high- 50's price range. Ouch! The motor sounds like it's heavily built up though, and it is a TRUE 302 C.I. displacement. Cool!
