Based on your description that is WAY over 14k damage. That must have been a very preliminary estimate. Let them do a thorough review, I bet it will end up getting totaled.

yourins co may provide you with an attorney to recoupe your losses . DIMINISHED VALUE in most states is considered a true loss for which you will be awarded damages

Man they should totally total this car because in fact it would never be the same i had a friend with a similar case except he was rear ended "you were stopped at a red light why did you let me hit you doing 80"(Dane Cook). The Ins co didnt want to total it so they fixed it up and the car was tanted forever it drifts all over the road and the tires dont stay balanced.[:'(]
