We have 1 year old girl, she uses a Britax car seat (very large car seat), anyway the car seat facing forward fits fine behind the passenger seat, leaving room for a front seat passenger. We have the convertable GT, which makes installing/de-installing the car seat a breeze.

Yes, it is a little tight, but very easily done. I only wish that when you tilted the seat forward that the whole seat slid forward also. I also wish that the seat then returned to the original position when you pushed it back. This is my biggest beef with using the back seat.
Our blue '05 mustang was built during the same week that our baby son was born. They have a special bond, being born together and all.

It will probably be pretty tight. I have a 2006 GT Convertible and am 6'3" and like the seat all the way back but I cant do it if there's anyone in the back seat. I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old and we manage to get in with their booster seats, but I wouldn't want to drive 200 miles that way! Also I believe the infant carrier rear-facing seats take up even more room and you'd probably try to mount it in the middle. I would recommend trying one out (friend, neighbor, whatever) and try to imagine driving that way and getting the kid (and seat) in and out a couple times a day and then decide what to do. It all depends how tall you are, what seats you buy and how big the kids are.

My 4yr olds doesn't fit good at all in my 07, its lays slanted in it, so thats why he doesn't ride in it. I would think the infant seat would prob fit, but my toddler one isn't safe at all. Of couse it also depends what kind you have i guess.

I have a 3 year and she sits behind the passenger side plus I have one on the way. It works and there is no way I would trade it for anyhting else.

Hey, Pony. Is this for an infant seat or a todler seat? I have a 20-month old and have the car seat on the passenger side. If it would mount in the middle it would be more comfortable for all. Especially since I don't think he could kick the back of the front seats if he was in the middle.

Ok folks, I am expecting twin girls in November, and while we have the SUV, I am driving the girls to daycare in the Mustang in the mornings. Any recommendations on infant seats?
