Right now, I have my 93 octane performance tune uploaded.

But with gas making a mad dash for $4/gal, I am going to load my 87 octane street (MPG & emissions) tune.

Several things are to blame here:
OPEC is using Libiya and Egypt a false excuse to gouge the price of oil per barrel
The gas companies are using the excuse that refineries are F*** up but in reality, shutting down a refinery in Oklahoma has absolutely no bearing on gasoline and diesel supply.
Hundreds of millions of Chinese and Indians are buying cars left and right and are further putting a serious strain on the global supply of oil.

Usually 91, with the FRPP tune.

93 if I'm taking a trip or if the 93 price at the local Sunoco station is within about 4 ¢/gallon of the 91. Most days, everybody else's 93 is higher.

93, in the winter I run a 91 octane tune but with 93 gas, cuts a bit of the power down that I don't need the the snow anyhow.

There's some legitimacy to OPECs claims, Libya has had oil production cuts as people are leaving work to fight their radical dictator (50+ million barrels of oil per day)

OPEC actually is trying to keep the prices lower because they want money too, and raising prices isn't always the best way to get that. With the economy already straining, their quantity of oil sold is going to go to the sh*tter if prices get so high that people cut back on vacationing, car pool more, etc. And the quantity cut back would overwhelm the increase in income due to price increases. The Saudis are pumping out more oil currently to compensate for a supply cut from Libya.

All that aside. I currently run 87 without a tune. Currently waiting on Brenspeed to work some kinks out of my tune. I won't be running more than 87 with tune though, maybe 89 but with these gas prices probably not.
