Default V6 to V8 Swap

Any Ford engineers here that could provide some input on a potential swap of a V6 with a V8?

1. With the new modular engines are the front accessories common between the V6 & V8? I thought the idea of the modular engines was to make all that stuff common.

2. Any idea on the engine wiring if a V6 can be swapped out with a V8 without replacing a lot of wiring harness?

3. Is the 5R55S automatic the same between the V6 & V8?

Thanks,

Rob

Big time! You're gonna chase your tail trying to locate parts, etc. Not worth it, just get a proper GT to begin with. On those questions you asked, both engines are from different families, in other words, nothing interchanges. Save yourself some grief, get a GT.

You guys speaking from experience? Must be Ford engineers right!

I wasn't asking if it's cheaper or easier to buy a GT.

Boost? Why would I waste my money boosting a V6!

Forget it, no tech here.

This site is weak.

They were being logical. I am not a tech myself, but if you could spend alot less time and money, examples of engine swapping, parts, wiring harness, exhaust, plus the body would be made for a dual exhaust anyways, why not just get a GT? It would be cheaper. Instead of blowing extra time and money on adding a v8 to your car, why not spend extra time and money on adding a blower to your v8?

Just some logic and common sense. the others and myself are not being mean or cynical, just trying to save you time and money.

Wasn't there a sign that says "No ******** apply" in the registry to this forum? Say what you want Mr. Misinformed. I'm done, no more replies from me. Someone else might, but no guarantees. that means no gurantee that you won't be an ******* to someone else.
