Welcome to the 13.4X Bone Stock club!! Members: doodad, imyy4u :-D

Although I think your time was better than mine, even though I had a better 60'. Our trap times were about exactly the same though...

Excellent work!! Chicago is home of the fastest stock Mustang GT's :-D BTW, how was your shifting? Is it just me or is it really hard to shift fast in this car with the stock shifter?
you are right.. these cars shifters sucks.. i kinda shift fast but with better shifter would be faster..

i used to miss 3rd all the time but now i just use muscle and hit it like a bitch and grabs.. i shift 2nd to 3rd faster than 1st to 2nd now.. but as i ssaid.. WE NEED BETTER SHIFTER!

also, thanks man.. seriously you and I are the only one who ran 13.4s here? have u ever heard any othe stangs ran this time? i personally don't know or heard.. you are the only one

He is exactly right...don't dump the clutch, feather it.

I am curently trying to rev to 5000rpm and then feather the clutch for an even faster launch...absolutely kills the clutch though...
the only reasion i slip the clutch just a little (basicle dump the clutch) is because of my clutch.. i do not wanna kill cuz right now i am broke and i can't deal with new clutch.

warranty does not cover the clutch right?

any advice for a auto
for auto all you can do is do a decent DRY burnout. hit the brake and rev the engine untill your tires are barely holding the pavement and when light turns green, let off the brake and floor it.. i dont even think you would spin with auto at track. kepp flooring it untill you pass the finish line..

Gears, stall converter and DRs, you will kill manuals!

the last time I went (Oct-6-2006) the best I did was 14.2@96
some of the other times I got bad wheel hop and the 14.2 had a bad launch (I thought another car was going to line up but didn't and that through me off)

Those times are pretty impressive for a stocker, but I find them believable. Fords at E-Town yesterday was shortened to 1.8th mile (high winds), but I was able to cut a 2.023 60' and a 5.705 330' with normal tire pressure. There was a timer problem, so I got no further numbers. That equates to a high 13.5 quarter. Although I have a Pro5.0 shifter, I have very little experience, so I could certainly see a low 13.4 with a stocker.

I have made 11 passes in the car now, and it is amazing how much better you can get by just trying different things. The good run yesterday was a 3500 RPM launch, ease out the clutch and apply the gas at the same time. No bog, no wheelspin...it just pulled.

Looking at your timeslip... as a couple of people have said, its all about the launch... the 7 hundredths you were faster than me on the 60' is the key.

These stock BFG's actually grip semi decent for stock tires. I can launch my car at 2900 with barely any wheelspin while giving it a lot of throttle.
