Short sidewalls and aharsh ride are a far different noise than what were dealing with. We have a solid suspensionthunking when hitting small to large ripples/bumps. Since you had an old Mustang and I assume other old cars, the noise best resembles a 100,000 mile car with bad control arm bushings.

Yea, I think we're talking about the same sound. I just meant at first, I thought it was the tires, etc.

Northy_polk,Jay, thank you for commenting on my post. For every reason to suspect one component, there's two reason to eliminate it, hehe. I'll keep following this thread and see what you guys come up with. I think I'm going to add the braces and see what happens.

It looks like these mounts were just released. Anyone know or hear anything about them?

http://hotpart.com/index.php?p=show&...8da1d60a535641

Still a little pricey, but cheaper than the $300 ones.

I'm definately interested in those. Lifetime warranty, heavy duty part with provisions for more alignment adjustment.

Ford better friggin hurry the frig up and get the friggin TS-friggin-B out by the end of June LATEST or I am going to buy me a pair of those strut mounts and install them. That will be that. Oh and I might change the shock cartridges since the factory ones are crap!

Boy they look good to me. And $50 cheaper. I'll still wait for the answer from Bill Ford. But I won't wait forever either. He should know we want it fixed and were sick of waiting. Tell us Yes or No. If it's a lame answer like "still under investagation". I'll fix it myself and get this problem behind me. I'm sick of it. I'm headed to the dealer right now and see what's up. Need a coffee first.

If the upper strut mount is the problem, then why are they thinking about sub frame connectors for the fix?

it seems as if the problem is both the strut mounts AND the a-arm brace. who knows?

i did confirm for myself that the post-April built stangs have the brace. looked at some last week at a dealership. it's true. the one with the brace was a pony package v6 built 4-10-07. the others have been languishing on the lot for a while with much older build dates and no braces.

What does this brace look like and where is it located?
