Default HERTZ ---SHELBY "GTH"

Ok, I'm crusin' around on ebay (I didn't copy the link) and I see this auction for like only the 3rd GTH being offerred to the public. It has a "buy it now" price of $110K, and the auction is already up to like $82K. 5600 miles on it, and who the heck knows who drove it, and how hard.
My question is..... from a speculative standpoint, is this car worth that kinda $$$. I know only like 500 are available.
But, with the '07 GT 500 and SHELBY GT on the market, I can't see the GTH bringing that kinda money. and if they do..... Why wouldn't the HERTZ execs retire them to a warehouse for like 10-15 years, keep them maintained and pristine, and then let 'em go on the auction block.
What do you all think ? Oh, one more question is '07 SHELBY GT signed by CS, like the GTH's are ?
Thanks.

hell no they're not worth it. the gt-h's are the same as the shelby gt's, basically.

for 110, you could have 2 GT500's if you get them from a good dealer.

This is driven by the fact that the original gt-h's are one of the rarest mustangs around and command a pretty penny.

and again, you raised an interesting point. who in the hell drove these things? what did they do?

you see videos and pics all the time of people completely RAGGING these cars out because they want to see what the shelby can do. forget it.

if i am paying $110k, it better be factory fresh and ready to rumble. not a mustang with shelby bodywork and some FRPP packages.

110k designates at least 700HP.

I agree soldshort, but they are more available than the SHELBY's outta the 60's which are selling for $135 to 200K. and there ain't 500 of those around.

Exactly! They had made 1000 original GT-h's, right?
Besides the new GT-H has more computer stuff that tells them what happened to the car, some of it secret, so maybe they'd have a record or how many times it over-revved. Lord knows there were much tighted controls over the new GT-h's than the old Sixties ones.
Right now it's just speculators creating a high initial price. It will drop after a few years then climb maybe 20 years away.
I'd just wonder if it's a REAL GT-H! $82K+ bids will create a lot of replicas and clones! Does it look like the one in this pic?

There's a '68 on ebay that is over 95K now.

I thought these all had gold stripes?

Thats a lot of money to spend on a car... 82K! Geesh! Who ever is buying that had better make sure that it's real and not a rep. It could be worth lots in the future if it's real. Then again I wouldn't want it because it was more then likely beatn' to ****.

Wrong the Hertz version is just a modded GT. Nowhere near a GT 500.
