Default Strip Cost

Does $400 sound like a fair price for the dealer to install strips on my car. They will be Black stripes on my Grabber Orange 07' with the GT appearance package. I know they have to take off the hood scoop to strip it correctly.

My dealer wanted 600 to do my car. 400 sounds pretty good compared to that!

Don't get it done at the dealer... always a rip off. Have a shop that specializes in stripes do it. It will cost less, and they will probably do a better job... in fact, I'd bet money that your dealership will farm that job out to a specialty shop anyway. Take the middleman out of it.

After I negotiated the price of my car I had them throw the stripes in as a deal-sealer, otherwise there is no way I would pay 600 for em. And my dealer just has another company come to the lot and do it. Did a terrific job, though!

I would save a few more bucks and get it done right the first time and have them painted!

I have seen the work that was done on another GT at the dealer and It looked good. It is subbed out to a local graphics guy. My brother is a mech and the dealer so they arent trying to rip me off. I was just curious about the price. As far as painting Torch, I'm not sure when and how many body mods I will do so going the cheap route first.

$400 not to bad at all. most of dealers here do the same thing and sub it out to a local guy. i talked to him and he said $450 for my car. this guy will make house calls if you have a garage. if i go thru the dealer they want $650 go figure.
