Ok Here i go

I have a 2005 Ford Mustang V6 -- 4.0
45,000k Miles Automatic

Mods- Brute Force Cold air intake , Flowmaster Exhaust , Diablo Predator Flash Tuner...

THE STORY....
I was driving on I -95 From Jacksonville headed south to miami
i car made a click noise then smoke came from in between the steering wheel and the Odometer Gauge
i didnt know what was going on i got nervous and parked on the side of the road of 95 i turned off the cari thought i was gonna catch on fire or something then i found a exit with ford dealer it was too late they closed the service center at 5:00 it was like 5:45 or something all the sale's rept's said it might be some kind of short ... well i towed the car home to miami i didnt want to drive it becuase i thought it mite make more problems o yeah i forgot my instrument panel wasn't lighting up at all but my AC - RADIO ETC. was lighting fine....

So i towed the car home to maimi $850.00 for a tow...**** happens
i towed the car to the ford dealer here in miami on the 22nd i guest the holidays came
they never got back to me its X-Mas now i should get a phone call tommorow
but be4 i took it i tryed removing the Diablo Flash Tuner the port wanted accept the tuner so i couldnt remove it.,.. so i dont know whether there going to find the tune or not i herd they might VOID my Warranty... **** what do i do.. man i need HELLLPPPP ... please some one...

Reply and let me know if any one has had this problem or might know what happen...?
And is my warranty going to VOID....?
Any info will help please reply....~

well, did you exstend your warrenty due to mine was to 36000 miles. i would try unplugging the battery and then wait ten seconds and them plug it back in then try to do the computer chip. see if that helps. Good luck

i got extended Warranty till 75k i have 45k now and the car is already at the dealer i cant' reset the battery SHI.TTTTTTT...

yup. basically you're SOL. if the dealer is cool then they'll overlook it but they will notice the tune and mods on there. they could give you crap about it BUT they have to prove the mods had something to do with the problem.

the service manager could easily void the warranty with the mods on there. good luck.

well like you said stuff happens, i wouldn't stress about
it. even if it's not covered under warranty, i don't see
it being an extrememly expensive repair

The CAI and the Exhaust is cool right just the FLASH TUNE is when the warranty gets voided

Guys im Petrified i dont have a couple G's to spend if my warranty is voided.

Even if you need Ford to reflash the OBD it should only cost 150 bucks.

the exhaust is almost 100% of the time overlooked unless it's something major like no cats or you dump your exhaust.

now with the CAI, who knows. i would assume that they'll pop the hood and see it there and say, "well that's not stock" and it could be a problem. the BIGGEST thing is the tune. that reprogrammed the computer with new instructions that could have an adverse effect on your car. all these things can factor into the service manager denying the warranty work.

Well what if i did damage to some electrical wire's
then there more then a reflash right..
