Still not fixed after two trips to the dealer. Patiently awaiting the TSB on this issue.

This is the type of thinking [at both the consumer and manufacturer's level] that has allowed the Toyota Camry to become the most popular selling vehicle in the US.

There is no "thinking" which was intended to be reflected in my post (I'm opneing myself up for some abuse with that one!); only facts backed up by some data. I buy only american, and if I found US reliability data particularly disturbing, I wouldbe drivinga Camry with a fartcan and not a Mustang,a Suburban, and a CTSV.....

my 05 had a leak. mildew in rugs and padding behind dash developed. took the dealer 3 1/2 weeks to find the leak. 2 1/2 weeks to fix after they they broke my wheel lock and had to cut off the lug. when doing so cut my wheel and had to buy a newwheel. then they broke one of the seat bolts off that are welded to the chasis and had to drill it out to replace. only for the car to stil smell. needless to say i traded it in and order an 07 vert. the dealer was helpful all in all and worked with till i was happy with the trade and purchase.

This leak problem appears to be more significant than some would suggest - 13% of all members who responded so far have the problem. Another 28% say they don't know.

If you have not responded - kindly do so - so we can all get a feel for this. I have seen names of other members who have posted about their leaks that do not appear to have posted here. Let's find out.

What happened to Ford's impending TSB on this ???

I HAVE HEARD THAT THER 07 STANG SITS ON THE NEW SHELBY FRAME, DOES THIS MEAN 07 MAY NOT BE AFFECTED BY THIS WATER LEAK PROBLEM?? IF YOU LOOK AT THE PASS STRUT TOWER ON THE 07 IT HAS DIFFERENT HOLES THAN THE 05 AND O6, I KNOW BECAUSE I HAD BOTH, ALSO DO WE KNOW WHERE THE WATER IS ACTUALLY COMING IN? WOULD IT COME IN WITH THE CAR WASH UNDER CARRIAGE SPRAY??

Just checked my pass for water, none yet....but I am curious, behind the inspection cover can someone tell me if there is a white foam pad and large diameter hard covers over the wiring?? because i think my 07 is modified for the leak? or is it because the 07 is on the Shelby frame?

Thanks

I've only driven my '07 in one briefly heavy rain but have washed it many times since Aug, about 4500 miles. I have not seen evidence of a leak. However I have noticed that the passenger side window sometimes fogs up a bit which makes me wonder.

I knew this girl at work had the same 05 as mine but with red interior and it freaking leaked too.[:@] Now she owns a Lexus.
Bet a lot of folks with leaks feel this same way..right about now.

My 06 GT leaks, onto the passenger side footwell. Happened the day after I bought it, in some light rain. Most people don't think to feel down there and check for moisture after driving in the rain, so there may be many more affected owners that are unaware of this issue, and who so far have not reported any leaking.

So far, I've sealed the rubber boot around the wiring harness, and antenna grommet. You can see these two items with the passenger side wheelwell cover removed.

There are many possible water entry points. I hope the pending Ford TSB on the issue addresses all of them.

It never sees rain or snow and very rarely water as it never gets dirty...hence the "I don't know" on the poll for me!

Still wet after 5 or 6 trips to the dealership (I lost count). New carpeting will be installed Friday. Hopefully my vote will move to the "yes, but been fixed" category, but for now it stays at a resounding "YES"[:@]

My 06 vert doesn't leak, I've had the kick panel off to get to fuse panel & its dry. The Verts have a steeper rake on the windshield than the coupes so the pillar & such is not the same.
