Default TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT

I Started my gt vert tonight for the first time in about 2 and a half weeks to warm it up as it is frigid cold here. After starting, the check traction control light came on for a split second and went off and the odometer appeared again. What doyou think? The light is no longer on.

You mean where it says off? Mine always stays on for the 1st few seconds after startup, thats normal.
Or you mean the little squiggly burnout icon my the speedo? [sm=gears.gif]

Well traction control warning lamp uses the ABS and instrument cluster modules. So if it saw a fault for that one instance it should have set a code. I would take it in to the dealer and have them check.

Normal operation, any fault with the abs or traction control system would have a flashing or steady light.

I tried to start a thread just like this last week and got no response.I saw the same lights on my dashwhen the carwas brand new. The dealer reset the code and everything has been fine for over a year. Last week, the lights reappeared on my way to work one morning. The lights will come on and stay lit for a few key cycles.

lol mine comes on almost everday when i leave my block, they threw so much salt and sand here that it looks like a beach, and i burnout and create a dust storm lol

be reminded, NJ hasnt seen a real snow storm this year and yet theres salt everywhere, can't even clean my car because everytime someone drives by, they create a dust storm that sticks to my paint

My Mustang had the traction control light come on a few months ago, though it stayed on all the time. I knew what it was and immediately got it fixed. It was a wheel speed sensor that had gone bad. Every car I've had with ABS/TC has had a wheel speed sensor go out at some point. It's something to check.

Mines turns on for a second, then goes away. Did not think it was a big issue....hmm.
