Looks like the problem was never resolved in that thread...I usually do let inside air in and it clears up...merely a strange quirk at this point but I'll keep an eye on it.

i drive a 99,i have a upholstery shop and put a new convertible top frame in a 05 for a guy . he came back a week later and said it was leaking. i have done a lot of frames on these cars for ford and never had trouble with any leaks , so i ran the water on the cowl first and water poured in like the hose was in the car.the guy who does water leak work for the dealerships i do work for said is been going on alot. there is a TSB on that if you would like i will get a copy.

My 07 started to leak badly, or at least I just found it. the water was hiding under the carpet and the rubber mats.

06 42k miles. Just got the leak. Let the dealership take care of it. 2 days rental $60. Repair bill $550... Next rain, leaked again... had to bring it back to the dealership. I guess I'll wait to see what happens the NEXT time it rains.

YET.

I thought I didn't have a leak. The dealership told me I didn't have a leak.

only way to tell is to pull of the threshold plastic trim, then pull off the kick panel trim. That is the only way to lift the carpet high enough to be able to stick your hand under it all the way to the tranny tunnel. Feel all over the pass side floor between the SJB door and the tunnel.

Then...do the same on the driver's side. I fixed the kick panel leak but, in doing so discovered a driver side leak. Yes, I have a great deal of luck.

In my car the pad was soaked for what may have been a long time, but the carpet was absolutely dry...because it is rubber backed the water can't seep up and wet it until there is a lot of water on the floor.

Good luck.

Default Nice pond...

06 V6 w/ pony package...
3" of water... only on pass side!! Had super heavy rain last night. After shop vac'ing it all out, started driving and water was pouring out from behind the glove box. Everything in kick panel was soaked/dripping wet also. It's been getting wet for a couple months now, but nothing like this before. In my defense, it's my wife's car, and I don't use it much...so I doubt she notices if it is wet or not.
