I would rather have a homely girl whose great in bed than a hottie who just lays there.
Im lucky to have a hottie whose great in bed.

I still find myself opening the garage door, turning on the light, and telling myself how damn good looking my stang is.
Congratulations on the purchase-please post some pictures.
Don't pay any attention to x-bone- he just likes to jerk everyone's chain now and then (all in good fun)
The GTO's may well be "killer" as far as power goes, but they look like SH*T in a basket, and the Stang is SO damned beautiful that I'd be surprised if you didn't find yourself sneaking off to your garage JUST to gawk at it (as I'm STILL doing every night- even after 3 1/2 months!)
Welcome to the club, and enjoy!

Those GTOs are killer, and partswould not be a problem.A Vette for half price, looks like a Grand Am, perfect sleeper.

RE: Pulled the trigger.... New Stang in the Garage!!!!
Sorry about the lack of pics. I was too busy driving it today to take and upload pics. On Saturday, by the time we finished all the paper work and clean up, it was dark when I got home. I will try to get some on but it will probably be a few days.
I liked the GTO and agree it is a sleeper from a performance standpoint, but I still worry about a GTO specific part not being easily available. My understanding is that a number of items required unique parts for the GTO for North America. It is a nice car but I am very happy with the Mustang.

I thought long and hard about the GTO, too. But the very limited production aspect just has too many drawbacks IMO. For instance, the availabiltiy of aftermarket goodies for the S197 will only grow in the next few years while the interest in producing unique items for the GTO will just about completely dry up. And no offense to Australia, but with the current plight of theUS auto industry, I wanted to buy something made mostly in the US, if possible. If the GTO would be a "sleeper" because of it's rather bland looks and a sleeper is what you really want, then I guess it is okay. But for my 30K, I'll take the "hottie" any day. I think you made an excellent choice with the GT/CS.
