Ford has fixed mine 3 times for this noise. Each time it has been the sway bar.
If it happens again, I am just going to install a sway bar delete

It was the sway bar for me and all they had to do was tighten it more. Then put some locktite on it and all better (so far)

Mine has been doing it since day one also. Hitting one bump is bad enough, but hitting several in a row(especially now with pot holes)makes me think something is going to break and fall off! I'll take mine in and have the Dealer check it.

I think I have the "thunk", but I guess its not to the magnitude that warrants it as being a big issue.
I hear a noise especially on the passenger side, when I go over any road imperfections, thats about it. I noticed it as soon as I drove off the lot, but I wasn't alarmed by it. Its not loud though, but definitely there. I figured hey, its part of the car's "character", like the lifting hood, and the side window squeaks when going over bumps. Yeah, its a brand new car, and maybe it shouldn't happen, but I guess only in a perfect world. Hey its a American car, and its a Mustang. Now if it was a Caddy, or a Lexus, I'd have a problem with it. As long as its safe , I'm ok with it.
