What the hell can you fit in the glovebox that you need a light to dig around there for? I can barely fit my owners manual in there..
i put my girlfriend in my glovebox when she starts yapping too much...oh wait, that's the trunk :-) haha j/k. seriously though, i just store my beer in the gloveboxalong with some ice in a ziplock bag...boom, instant freezer!

My car has every option besides the Shaker 1000, including IUP, Leather

I don't have rear floor mats

Seriously I don't think there is another car on the market that has heated seats as an option but is missing of half of the things on that list.

OMG you guys (05-07 owners in general, not all) Bitch about the smallest things. No glove box light..?!?!? What, do you plan on reading a book while driving? Glove box that doesn't lock, if a person breaks into your car, that box/lock will break like butter anyways, Dome light, okay I can see (or not see [8D]that one) Trunk light, don't know of any cars that don't have that. Engine Compartment light...mixed on that one. Buy acheap $5 flashlight for emergencies.

Hood that doesn't stay open by itself, boo hoo, you bought the car for looks (and in some cases compensation and power) so take two seconds and put the damn hood support up. Your car rattles a lot. Well you get a lot of bang for your buck (power wise) If you don't want rattles, go spend 40K for an entry level/midrange Import that will give you all the bells and whistles and give up the power and looks.

As a mustang owner for the last6 years I hate to see the new generation of NEW mustang owners be such babies. Do your research before you buy the car and stop gripping.

Buck up and install your own upgrades. Put a hasp and padlock on the glove box.Stick a LED dome light (home depot) under the hood.Run rope lightin the cabin tied to a dimmer. Tie astring to the trunk release and run it fwd to a pully on the console. Pull to open. For trim on the deck lid (???) just sit your gf/wife there when you need it. Hook bungy to the non-powered seats. Slide heat tape under the seatcover for more hotness. For mats, put grandma's doilys down there. Replace your rear fixed mirrors for f-250 adjustables. I doalot of sailing, and we customize everything. Not a big deal.

Supernaut -- Your response is both funny and ultimately true. However, I think the point many of us are trying to make is that for the considerablecost ofa new GT, it should have more amenities and conveniences and not be so stark and lacking. These dam*ed Huyndais and Kias have more thought put into what a driver uses and needs, and they cost one-half as much as a new GT. Plus, if Mustangs had all these amenities at one time (which they did at some point from '87 to '04) then why don't they now? That's going backwards in refinement on Ford's part.

Gas cap that locks - Get an aftermarket one, chump
Vainity lights - what you're gonna primp yourself too?
Trim on the deck lid - see wife/GF
Return springs on non power seats - Too much weight
Adjustable heat levels for heated seats - Too much cost
Retractable side mirrors - do you have any idea how lame that would look?
Footwell lights - What are you doing down there anyway?
Dome Light - Install your own
Rear passanger lights - What are you doing back there anyway?
Rear floor mats - See above
Quarter windows that work - huh? What did you expect it to be retractible?
Trunk release button - you have one, IT'S RIGHT NEXT TO YOUR MOTHERFARKING key!

I just cannot under why someone would buy a car with amenities they feel are so lacking or inferior
as other cars.........don't make sense to me
