No. If you have wheel spin, it won't be "as fast as you can."

Al little wheel spin is better than the ABS going of.. or the engine stalling.

Youwould be better off, turningthe TCSoff and learning how to modulate the throttle. However, if you did a few test runs, and learned how to "launch" with the TCS on, you could learn a little more about the characteristics of your car. The TCS on these cars, is much better than than the previous model and will let the wheels spin substantially more than the 99-04 models.

yes, turn it off. Learn to modulate your throttle. If you're in an auto doing a brake stand will help but not the best. Get a high stall converter and a brake line-lock setup.

You're not driving an M5 (2007+) where the traction control is smart enough to actually be better than driver control. It's been proven time and time again that with the M5, the european version is faster than theU.S. version due to launch control where the M5 does everything including traction control.

Doesn't the TCS kill power to the wheels??

Yes, it can. I hear everyone here, but I was just thinking better that than go up in smoke. But, like most said, if you can feather the throttle, go for it. I launch with it on, and get a real nice responce. Maybe it's the limited slip.
