heat comeing thru shifter area?
i was sitting at a light today and had my hand resting on my shifter(auto btw) and i could feel some heat rising, is that normal? i never noticed it before.

They run very very hot, right above the pipes!! check your sheilds but I would think its ok! I will have to take notice of mine!

Normal heat raising up through shift lever.

I have a manual 5 speed on my 07 GT and the area around the shifter and sides of the console get warm, must be normal.

the chrome shaft on my hurst gets pretty warm but im pretty sure its normal

Considering the cats are right under there, that tunnel gets pretty darn warm.

ive driven a stock mustang gt with manual tranny and then one with the MGW shifter, the heat padding they provide made the heat go away. it was much better than stock, dunno about the auto.
