how quickly can you change the tunes? as mentioned in the previous post, for long road trips would it be worth it to switch to an "economy" tune?
Did it yeserday, took about 3 minutes...

When I bought my car last week, I drove it home from NY to CT (about 150 miles) and got 27.2 mpg. This of course is with the Ford Racing CAI and tune.

I got 28mpg on a 6 hour highway trip with the cruise set at 70-75mph (Car is bone stock).

Is there an Economy and 93 octane tune available? Dropping the timing down for the 87 when you're running 93 would still leave little particulates not fully combusted, and you're getting the full energy/performance out of the 93 i believe... i could be wrong though

I purchased my Mustang knowing it wasnt going to be easy on the gas. And the first couple weeks I could have cared less. But now that the day to day is setting in I still cant help but wince and my MPG. Awell...you pay for the dream. I look foward to the CAI not just for the HP boost but also for its ability to improve the car's gasoline consumption.

The Economy/Normal setting is separate from the 87,91,93 octane settting on the tuner. I would think you could leave it @ 93 and just switch to economy. Yes, it takes about 3 minutes.
