Looking for new GT with a Shaker 100 - can't find
Does anyone know if I were to buy an existing GT on the lot that has the shaker 500... if they would install the 1000? I can't find any Mustang GT's with a Shaker 1000. I would like to get Grabber Orange or Vista Blue.

The shaker 1000 is overpriced POS. Get the 500 so you get the door subs if you want and then replace that HU and 4 speakers with aftermarket if you want the better sound.

My concern is shotty workmanship though. My last two vehicles, installers did a really crappy job on the install and i ended up hearing rattles afterwards. How do I find a quality installer?

Forget the 1000!!!
$1300 bucks can get you a better setup!!!!
Why go stock anyways???

Take a V6 / GTwith a Shaker 1000 for a test ride and bring a CD with you favorite musicon it.
Turn the Shaker on and off during the test drive, you will quickly come to the conclusion that the 1000 is not worth the $1300 cost.
The only reason I have it is that it was already on the car when I bought it, and as long as it is working it is fine for my needs. But after warranty if it should fail there is no way I would install another Shaker 1000.
For that amount of money a DVD/Navigation unit is the only way to go.
