On my 07 GT (stock body and suspension)the hood starts to lift around 80mph (lower on a windy day). Started to see how fast my top end would be and thought the hood was coming off. I plan on adjusting the rubber stops for now. Eventually I will have a cowl hood. I wanted to use the stock hood latch but I am now leaning toward using pins. I guess my question is has anyone actually had their hood fly up and do damage??

sounds like your first latch is not working and your safety latch is holding your hood down. Get it checked, ORRRRR close your hood.

Oh it has happened but not to me, have read it on here before though!

I've had my car on a drag strip and nothing like this has happened. Maybe the latch is faulty

Mine lifts, but not at the front or the rear - in the middle! It actually bows up in the middle at speed. If I'm driving fast with a cross wind, it seems to get worse.
