I am confused, do you have to go under the car and do that torque converter thing? Can't you just leave it in gear to lock it out like a manual car? Anybody have an idea? My car is an auto and i will be most likely doing this install today.

ok so doing my install tonight..going to add a little. There is no need to use a Impact gun. Put the car in 5th gear and ebrake it. I popped my crank pulley free with no problem at all..also with the waterpump pulley..the pulley will spin if you try and turn it..so when the wrench is level just give it a whack with your hand and they will pop free..so if you do it this way no need to remove radiator fan and such..just intake and move coolant overflow out of the way.

I'm having a hell of a time getting the stock crank pulley bolt off. I've got an automatic so I was using an impact wrench set at the max on my neighbors little garage compressor which was 120 psi. Is that not enough?

I feel like it doesn't even come close to breaking it free. I feel pretty defeated. If I use a compressor at 140 or 150 psi would there be a chance at damaging the bolt? I figure I'm going to replace the bolt anyway because I'm at 46k miles and i like peace of mind. I'm just worried about breaking the head off. (unless I'm stupid and that's impossible) but the whole thing did a great job at flash rusting and I'm worried about its integrity.

any tips would be appreciated

This is a good write up of the install with pictures and detailed information that i needed. I just purchased a used set of steeda underdrive pulleys and it didn't come with the bolt.
