Default Axleback Installation

While waiting for my exhaut to cool enough for me to pull off the stock axleback's I thought I'd ask a dumb question. Looking at Tackbill's hot to thread it looks like he jacks the car up by the rear end and places the jack stands under the shock mounts. Is this correct or should I use the axle itself or will either work?

I don't place the jack stands under rear shock mounts.

No problem Mike. If you ever jack up the front, here's where I place the jack and stands..

Note: Don't forget to chock your tires at the opposite end.

Hey Taco, do you actually drive your car? it's the cleanest chassis I've ever seen outside a showroom [sm=groupwave.gif]

if you're just installing a new axleback under there, you shouldn't have to jack it up at all.
