I realize this is an EXTREMELY OLD thread, but I was curious if anyone had found stand offs to manually raise the seats? Also, does anyone know what size the bolts are? I'd like to permanently raise the seat if possible.

I did the power passenger seat swap on my 2011 GT500, since for some reason you cannot get a power passenger seat in a GT500.

I refused to pay $600 in parts though. I was able to get the drivers side power seat track and motor out of a wrecked s197. From there all I had to do was cutoff the rivets that hold the track to the brackets and swap it over.

I had to purchase a new a wiring harness, plastic cover and the 7-way switch but I spent less then $200 total for everything.

That's pretty sweet. Can you show a completed shot or two? Do you remember what size screws held the seat in? 1/4-20, M8, etc.?

After looking at your pics a little closer, there isn't a screw that bolts it to the floor - there is a stud (at least the two rearmost attachments). Hmm...will have to investigate a littler more.

you wont be able to raise the seat by inserting spacers on the bolt in the rear of the first picture. The bolt that attaches the seat bracket to the car isnt long enough for a spacer and the nut to attach. The bolt attaches under the sheet metal so you wouldnt be able to easily replace it either.

About the only way I could see you doing this would be to remove the rivets that attach the bracket to the seat track, similar to what I did. Then inserting some sort of spacer and a longer bolt. That however would be a significant amount of work and you might as well add the power track if you were going to to that.
