are TSB's covered under warranty?
I just bought my 2005 mustang gt and transfered the factory warranty to my name. it has until dec. 4th of this year under the 3 year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. i noticed a water leak in the pass. side foot area, and after research found the TSB for this problem. will the dealership pay for the work to fix this since it is a TSB now? thanks!

RE: are TSB's covered under warranty?
TSB are just common concern that help us techs out. If that is the leak and your warranty has net yet expired it will be covered. Might want to check up on getting the Ford ESP. Unless you're going to do serious modding.

I would call the service dept. first , make an appointment and explain what you want and definately print out and bring with you a copy of the TSB and its number....

Some dealers require appoinments. If you had an ESP plan that would cover a rental otherwise it's up to your dealer to or not out of their pocket.. Just tell them where the leaks seen at and they should know of the tsb if it applies to your car.

just a note from a former tech-
a lot of people confuse TSB's with recalls. A TSB (technical service bulletin) essentially is to tell techs -
1. This is a common complaint on this vehicle
2. These are the symptoms
3. This is the fix if the vehicle displays those symptoms
Many people go in to the dealer with a copy of the TSB in hand demanding the repair when their car isn't yet displaying the symptom(s). Obviously Uber has the water leak. What I am saying is that it's not prudent for everybody to run to the dealer with their stang because their buddies' stang has this issue. Sometimes these tsb's cause over-reactions from other owners and flood the dealer with unnecessary work.
That about sum it up Prometheus? lol
