Default GEAR INSTALL in MD...where???

Do you guys know of any shops in MD that can install rear end gears? I have checked JPC Racing in Glen Burnie but they want $500 just for the install (that's if I supply the gears and oil and install kit)

Is there anywhere that is cheaper than that???

Thanks

I am up here near Baltimore but I would be willing to drive down there if nowhere else is that low. What's the name of the place?

I paid 400 for my install (I supplied parts fluids install kit etc); the original quote was 400-500. When I questioned it on this forum and with the local gearheads they figured it to be a pretty fair price, unless you've got a buddy who will give you a break. Anyway, regardless of who you use and what you pay, DEFINITELY DO IT! You'll never look back. And be leery of a super-fantastic deal; it's like a 5-6 hour job or so...

my advise...don't price shop gear installs. Seriously, that's like price shopping a brain surgeon. Reputation, experience, and then pricing in that order. If you put price first in that check list, you can bet your bottom dollar you will end up with gear noise
I have always heard good things about JDM in New Jersey, might want to give them a try. If you want the best, plan a roadtrip to Indiana and visit the guys at Brenspeed.

There's a place in Northern Virginia that's called Excessive Motorsports. It's about an hour away from Glen Burnie. I paid about $500 for them to instal gears, new bearings, new T-Lok and the PHB Also had them instal the axle on the car. It would have been a lot cheaper had I installed the axle/PHB myself.

Been driving around on it for about 6 months and haven't had any problems with it at all. No whine, no grinding. They are a Mustang specialist shop. Everyone there was super friendly and very knowledgeable about what they were doing. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

There's also BEHE Performance in Beltsville. http://www.beheperformance.com/index.html

They have a great reputation in the LSx Community, and they do Ford work too. I was shopping around for them to tune my GTO last year.
