Default Flowmaster Mufflers

I'm not satisfied with my GT sound. It just doesn't sound loud enough for me. Yesterday I called Masterflow and they said the new mufflers for the GT will be out or about the 10th of February. They told me to call them. Anyway they said I would enjoy better performance and gas mileage. Only thing that will be replaced is the mufflers and the tips. Any comments?

Never heard of Master Flow mufflers. I've heard of Flowmaster though. Do you have a web link to master Flow?

It's Flowmaster not master flow. The mufflers give you no power at all. The only setup that increases power is SLP. Flows sound good, as far as gas mileage goes it does not give you a noticable increase.

757Gt - where did you read about the mufflers comparisons? I agree with you about the '05 exhaust but I'm still waiting to read about the aftermarkets comparisons before I change them out.

Modular Depot but Magnaflow on an '05 GT and gained..... 0 ... absolutely no power... guess the stock stuff flows purdy darn good. They said it sounded much better though.

BTW - as far as performance is concerned... Magnaflow > Flowmaster

I've had both on my car - I stuck with Flowmaster because it sounded better to me.

Mdvaldosta - Thanks for the info. I know a guy that put 40 series Flows on his '05 and he swears it got him more power but nothing to back up his claim. The muffler shop did a decent job installing them with chrome tips. Obviously they sound like Flows but they don't sound as loud as I thought it would.

That's a good color, mine is the same. I saw the info on modular depot and also in either muscle mustangs or 5.0 magazine.

I think it’s psychological. If I paid 750.00 for an exhaust system it must have added power or I just flushed that money down the crapper. Sometimes though the sound is worth the bucks alone.

What kind of exhaust did you get? I think I am going to get the SLP power flow axle-back.
