Default way to stop the windows from rolling down that little bit?

Im going to be getting my windows tinted tomorrow, ive got the moleskin ready for the installer.

but today it hit me.. when i open the door the windows drop that little bit.. and go back up when the door closes..

Will that cause damage to the tint or the position of it in the first few days when its still not fully cured?

Is their any way to stop the windows from doing that?

It wont cause any problems but if your still worried you could pull the window fuse.

When i got my windows tinted it dose nothing that it opens a little bit. If it was a problem you would hear about it as much as your hear about moleskin.

That little bit of movement won't hurt the tint for the 3 day drying period But leaving the window all the way up and shutingor opening the door might. Just don't roll them all the way down.

It needs to roll down that little bit. The window slides in and out of the weatherstripping. Porsche cars do the same on some models (not that it has any consulation). So, in any case, I don't think it would be good for the glass ... my 2 cents.

If you disable the window drop feature you will have a very difficult time opening the doors. I've went through a winter already having those damn things freeze on me.

-(fun)

Don't worry about it. If you pull the fuse and try to close your doors with the windows all the way upyou can damage the glass and the weather strippingof the mirrors.

The tint guys will heat the bottom part of the tint with a heat gun. This cures that section of the tint and will not get damaged by the window moving that little bit.

At least thats how they did my car and I havent had a single problem since.
