C&L CAI and EVO TUNE INSTALLED!!!
Finally did it...Damn, why did I wait so long...I'm using up my last 1/2 a tank of 87 octane right now (with the corrisponding tune) andalready notice a huge improvement. The Evolution tune has been great so far. Installed the tune, shefired up on the first crank,rpms idled just under agrand,no codes thrown, very smoothrunning[sm=smiley20.gif]... AND when I gave her a few stabs and heard the intake sucking in air, Idid my happy dance -[sm=wootwoot.gif].
I immediately noticed the crisp throttle response as I snapped my neck backing out of the garage.She pulls muchharder in the lowerrpms and sounds like abeast when I mash the accelerator.It is a much snappier and more responsive car. It's a totally differentexperience.
Which leaves me with a question. How much more improvement can I expect from 91 or 93octane???

Hurry up and burn that 87. Go straight to 93 and retune. You will never want to go back!!! The difference is amazing

Fine, make me drool. My plans are to do the same after the Labor Day weekend.I hope I'm not in too much of a rush to return from a trip with the g/f... She'll ch*t if I tell her why...

the difference between the 87 - 93 isnt going to be as big as the stock to 87 feels now, but it will be a nice improvement still.

A while back I went from 93 to 87 because the gas was much cheaper....but I didn't have as much fun. So now I leave it at 93 and don't worry about the extra $2-3 bucks per fill. All I know IMO is that it makes (feels) like a big difference to me. A hell of alot more fun to drive...and that's why I bought it!!!

Evolution is known as being one of the best tunes for automatics. I have evolution for my auto and the 93 extreme tune is amazing!
