looks more like a 65 with shelby emblems the gt500 came out in 67 and 68 and was a fastback with rear window scoops and side scoops

The picture above is also not an original Shelby, in the true sense. It is licensed by Shelby, but it is a GT-500E and was built probably just a few years ago. A beautiful car, but not the real deal.
This is a REAL Shelby GT-500

Judging bythe caoncave rear panel and what looks like an all-chrome gas-cap in pic #2, I'd have to say it's a 68, not a 67. 67 would have a black center, like the 65's do and the 05-08 faux gas cap. Though yes, that can be easily replaced. I think too if it was authentic Shelby, wouldn't it have the Thunderbird/Couger rear tail lights?

OriginalShelbys weren't offered in the coupe body style(except for the prototype "little red", which became the basis for the '68 California Special) stateside, only fastbacks and convertibles, although for '69 there was a Shelby de Mexico that was coupe based(with rear roof extension to give the appearance of a "buttress" rear window, like the '68-'70 Chargers). That car just has the Shelby treatment.................

You beat me to it. It's a clone in the wrong flavor.

Not an expert, but, what makes this a 67 and not a 68? 67 usually had the corral and barsaround the pony and Ford spelled across the front of the hood. It is a 67 shelby type hood.
