Just curious why you want to spend SC money, instead of looking for the V8. I realize six's are cool to. But from what I hear you are thinking about some serious dollars??

I found a module that says it works on the 05 that's supposed to give you up to 20+hp. the website is www.20horsepower.com
I don't have it yet but I just ordered it and should have it soon. Will post results. I have been told that no one is really doing anything with the V6 yet. Bassani is suposed to come out with a duals kit for it but when I don't know. A few places have told me it'll be a few months yet before we can get much for it. I reccomend getting the 10" racing stripes from bumper to bumper. Looks awesome!!! I love mine. I also got the K&N drop in filter which I should have 2/14/2005.

I'm eagerly awaiting your results on this - it seems a little "too good to be true". I'm a bit skeptical because I can't imagine that the sensors change so much based on "heat absorption" that they eat up the declared hp and torque. But hey - I've seen stranger things in my time, and if you can get some good info up here, I'm willing to change my mind!

Buyer Beware !!

I pulled up the web site shown above and looked at the advertisement. What doesn't make any sense is that the "product" does not specify on what engine you get the 20hp gain. Like was the test engine a 500 cu.in 1970 Cadillac engine (which might gain 20hp, with a low restriction air cleaner), or if I add this product to my 14hp lawnmower, will it jump to 34 hp.

I just think it strange that the seller has chosen to name the web site to indicate 20hp gain. Then makes no qualifing statement about the "test" engine, or application for the 20hp.

All this seems to be the way "rip-off" products are hyped and sold. Just my two cents, and you $$, to spend.

The way I look at it is it says up to 20hp and if it don't work it has a $ back guarantee and if I don't get that I'm only out $30. I look at it as an acceptable risk.

the reason im not looking into spending the extra $$ for a gt (v8) is b/c of the crazy insurance on the thing...im just gonna get the v6 and do mods...if i can find some

I haven't used anything yet, but I want to do the XCalibrator and the Steeda CAI (when it comes out for the V6 in the next month to month-and-a-half). I was going to do a dyno run this week, so I can get a baseline, and I'm pretty sure I want to get the XCalibrator... When I get it and dyno it, I'll post it up.

Am I right in assuming there isn't much hard data on 05 V6 mods yet?

Just bought a '05 v6 for my wife and looking for some add on's to increase horsepower. Can you tell me the what exactly is the x-calibar and steeda cia. Is there a website for these add ons? Also where do you find the k&n filter? We are both in our mid forties. I drove a 69 z-28 as a teen and my wife drove a '74 trans am. We have been out of the loop for a long while and would appreciate the help. Glad I found this forum.
Thankyou for any responses
