Default Pic of new "upgrades"...

my '05 GT is coming along nicely...nothing major yet. Just window tint (35%, max legal in Texas), lowjack, Rockford Fosgate Punch amp and 10" sub, Escort 8500X50 RD, Ford spinners for the factory 17" Bullits, and Magnaflow catback exhaust.

Things planned are dual stripes 8"-10" with 2" in between. Can't decide on color. Either Red, Silver, or White. Maybe a short throw shifter. I'd like to do some performance mods but am leary about voiding my factory warranty. I'm in the D/FW area so I may look to Dallas Mustang to help me out. They are working with a dealership here to bring out a Terlingua Racing package and so its possible to maybe do some mods through them and not void my warranty.

Earl

stripes really aren't my thing. i actually think they make stangs look kinda dumb. i'm just not a stripe person. the only racing stripes i have are the ones in my underwear.

Yeah, go for the fat stripes, go 10", and any of those colors sound badass. I was thinking of maybe just putting just one big fat stripe down the middle like the steeda one has on the hood but continue it across the car. Probably 18" wide, and either black or blue (have a silver GT on order, planned delivery=late march). What do you all think?

Red Stripes on the Black, White one's on the Sonic Blue! How do you like your 8500RD? I need a new RD. I was thinking of the Solo S2, because it's wireless.

Yep think I'll go with the red stripes.

I've never had stripes on a car either - other than the factory ones on my '79 Z-28 and the the big eagle on my '76 T/A. I like the retro effect though so want to go with the Shelby look with the dual stripes.

I do like the 8500X50. I haven't gone on a road trip with it yet, but its caught a few traps in the city allready. We'll take the Explorer with the family on the road and it will be nice to just move it to that car when we do.

I had one trip from hell in my life where I got pulled over 3 times on a round trip between D/FW and Lubbock, Tx. Two tickets and one warning. This thing would pay for itself in one trip if I had had it then.

I know, I know...just don't speed....especially in the 'stang thats like asking someone not to have sex dammit
