Shuttle launches approach 13 G's folks. Learned that at an IMAX picture.
Top Fuel cars now hit 4 G's.
F1 cars hit 4 G's in the corners.

TRUST ME no human could survive 13 Gs.Not for long any wayI'm alsopretty positivethe space shuttle wouldn't survive that kinda G force either. Some fighter aircraft(aircraft designed to handle high G-loads) may withstand 12-13 Gs before components startripping off. But the pilot would have g-locked before they even get there. Can't believe everything you see in the movies

ok I might be wrong
BTW people can survive high g's for short amount of times (impact)
and the air force has special suits that exert pressure on the whole body and allow the human body to handle more

Your thinking of the G-suits. They help keep blood in your brain and upper torso so you don't pass out as quickly. But they can't alter physics. At 10Gs a 200lb man stillweighs 2000lbs, G-suit or not. Alot of times when we send folks up on incentive rides in the back seat of fighter aircraft who have never had one or don't fly fighter sorties, their capillaries are ruptured throughout their hands and forearms from straining to keep tense and keep blood in their upper bodies.

yes but with out the g-suits they'd pass out sooner (and thus couldn't handle as much)
I would like to try that some time to see what its like to feel those g's

The Blue Angels fly without G-suits(marines being tough). Average humans who have never experienced high Gspass out anywhere between 6-8 Gs. The sad part is I've been bending wrenches and bustin asson F-16s for seven years and I've never had a ride, but I've seen plenty of paper pushinnonners who have nothing to do withaircraft maintenanceget rides for winning whatever of the month or plenty of under the desk time. Let me get off my soap box fore its too late.
