Default Installed the 'Ford Racing' door sills...

Finally got my car back from the body shop (the new paint and hood look great BTW). It's night, so I'll get some pics over the weekend. A guy made a post and let me know about the light up 'Ford Racing' door sills and I thought they might look good so I got them. I put them on and it is pretty straight forward. I like the fact it replaces the entire door sill in place of the others that just tape into center of the black sill.

Anyway, they wire into the door light so they are lit up whenever the door is open. Hard to see in the day but it is a suttle glow and looks nice. Looks great at night to me. I'm not usually one for 'light up' mods, but I have to say, after having them on, they look really clean and very nice. A little pricey for the $200'ish range but overall - a nice looking show mod that really stands out. I haven't seen them on any other car yet.

For me, definitely two thumbs up - I like em'...

Very nice
if your going to do much for show
I'd be worried about brakeing the light
it istinted plastic or glass hows the apparent durability

on your car it looks like it belongs there
might also work on a red car

That's cool. They look especially nice in your Mustang... just fit right in. I like 'em.

Thanks. It's a pretty thick tinted plastic. I can't see them cracking or breaking without purposefully trying to do so. I think if the lettering was larger, it might fall on the tacky side, but it's small enough and the light is suttle enough even at night to just look like a 'compliment' rather than a bright light. I turned the flash off to see them but that also made them even brighter in the picture. In person, with the interior light on cause the door is open, the are quite suttle. Definitely not 'neon' appearing at all.

Jackie - I don't think so. I got them from FRPP when someone from this site posted a link. I had never heard of them. I think they only have these and then the chrome covers. The chrome covers just don't quite fit right IMO. These are the entire black sill replacement and the 'ford racing' is nice and flush as opposed to some of the other tape in sills that kind of 'lift' from the sill.

Like I said, I don't know if I can 'recommend' them simply because I think they are WAY to much money for what you get. But if you don't mind dropping the coin, they do look nice and unique IMO.

Looks good with all the extras you've got going in that Mustang!
I somehow managed to scratch mine so maybe one of these days...
