I ordered my GT in the middle of November and still don't have a serial number. In my area, the dealers are allocated 1943 Mustangs per month. The area covers half of Kansas, most all of Missouri and part of Illinois. With all of those dealers who are allocating out of the same bucket, what percentage will be GT orders? Don't know. There is a Ford plant that produces the Explorers. I have checked all the dealers web sites and there are no more that a dozen GT's sitting on lots in the whole St. Louis area. So where are all those GT's going? I have no clue. The dealer is a good friend of mine and he has been tring to find out where my order sits and still can't get an answer from his area rep. To me, I don't think the area rep is doing their job or all the GT's are getting shipped to all the coasts dealers or to all the big cities where they can turn them over faster than in smaller cities like the St. Louis area.

Just thought I'd follow up when I fouind anything out. After hearing that Delphi has a 'B' version out now for the Shaker radios I took that thread with me to my Ford dealership. I reminded them that I already had my radio replaced once and it still is an "A" version (showing them how to find this out) and that I'd like them to chase down a "B" version of the radio.

They said they would call Ford directly and find out if there truly is a "B" version of the radio and indeed Ford came back and told them there was and to order the new radio for me. They explained it was on back order (so was the last one I had ordered) and that it would take about a week to get it in.

As soon as it arrives and I've had a chance to put it through its paces I'll send along the results.

scootsbrew....keep us posted. I'm seeing more and more GTs showing up at dealers around OH. Plenty of V6s with IUP, too. Looks like the floodgates may open soon.

Now, I just have to decide whether to wait another month for mine to be built or to just get one from dealer stock.
