Ordered mine beginning of Jan. told me not to expect it until the end of 2005 so I found one at a different dealer and bought it.

Default RE: Order to Deliver

My dealer entered the order in the computer on the 07 Jan 05 right after they release the price from the Detroit show back in Jan 05 . I was given a serial number for my car on the 08 Feb 05 and the date for them to start to build it will be is the 21 Feb 05 and ETA should be 21 March 05. The dealer told me that I was very lucky that I will be getting my convertibel in March 05. They were notified by Ford that the next delivery date for the convertible mustang would be the end of June/Mid July 05, So I guess I am lucky and can hardly wait to get it.
Hope the snow will be all gone by then!!!

Picked mine up (05), by checking dealer inventory online. Then, with phone calls found a car not delivered yet, without a buyer. Not an answer to your question, but, if your looking and don't want to order and wait. It is another way to go !!

It makes ya think that the market is going to be full of these cars..

I can't understand what the big deal is with ordering. I went to the dealership and told them all the options and color I wanted and they found one for me the next day. I took it home three days later. Is this an exception?

It is an exception as most dealers don't have the mustangs to trade for the one they find at another lot.

That makes sense. They had one there but it was an automatic and had the red seat upgrade. That was the one they switched and now all they have is v6 models. I feel lucky now. Sorry I was condesending.
