i like the GTO's look, but i think the actual monaro looks better. it has the ground f/x and doesnt have the spoiler. makes it look like it rides lower. i don't like either the new mustang or gto's tacked on wings, they look mad cheap and mess up the lloks. if dwonforceis actually needed, i like the idea of spoilers like Saleens, low rise, dragged back...

That has NOTHING to do with the new '05 GTO. I drove both the '05 GT and the '05 GTO. The GTO is faster AND sounds faster too! Hey, there has to be something better for the extra $. IMO, if the GTO came in a rag-top, I'd have one in my driveway already but since it doesn't, I'm waiting for a Mustang!

I have to admitt, I've always liked Mustangs. They have always been an eye catcher. Nonetheless, when I saw the 05 Mustang for the very first time, I knew I had to own one.

In my opinion, the O5 GTO represents a family sports sedan. It's a shame it was a great muscle car in the past but now it's just a plain fast car.

I have 2 GMs ( 89 Caddy Fleetwood, 99 Malibu- Airport car ) and 2 Fords ( 03 F150 Super Crew and 05 Mustang ) and GM is missing the boat on bodyt style. Performance great but IMO you need to like how it looks too. I am not sure what they are thinking but Ford is kicking ***.

I agree....GM (and particularly, Pontiac) just seem lost right now. Can't argue the GTO's engine. But, at $30K + for an '05, they just can't compete with the Mustang GT.
