Anyone have 255/55/18's
Hi,
Does anyone have 255/55-18 tires on their car? Pictures?
I’m thinking about new rims and tires and want to stick with 18’s, but would like to fill up the wheel opening a little. I thought about 255/50 but the options are limited and expensive. 255/55 will only increase the sidewall height by .44 (.89 overall), which I think is acceptable but would like to see what they look like.
I would consider lowering but may last car was lowered and I had clearance issues with the front air dam all the time and the ride quality suffered badly.
Thanks,
Jason

RE: Anyone have 255/55/18's
I have 255/45/18 in front (stock height) and 295/45/18 in rear (about 1.3 in taller than stock). I also have Roush rear lowering springs, but my front is not lowered. If you get a taller tire and get a mild lowering kit, your clearance won't change much. For instance, my rear tires raise my car about 0.65 inches, but my Roush rear springs lower it by 1 inch, so I have a net drop in the rear of about .35 in. Here's a link to my pics. The black one is mine.
