Um where do you think the your state gets it's money? Do they have a money tree the rest the country doesn't know about?
The money was generated ,for that grant at least, by the NC highway patrol ticket revenues. They give $ every year to one other dept in the state in the form of a grant from non tax generated funds for buying new equipment as the dept sees fit, the was an article in the paper explaining where they money came from cause some people in the town got pissed about it but the paper's website is by subscription so i can't access it, here is a link to the tv news story. I love how the article states:
Because it is faster than the other police cruisers, the Mustang GT will be used to rush ahead of car chases and let officers lay down spike strips.
It's nice to know my cars potential just in case. I wonder if they mean after it is modded it will be faster, or if it is faster than police cruisers as stock.

I should go to Stallings and see it for myself. I live in Charlotte. Not too far actually. Think the speed limit thru there is only 35 mph on Hwy 74 going to the beach.

Jeff

PS: First time poster. Got my 05 GT last week. Its really cool.

Nah stallings is right after Matthews, before Indian Trail, 55mph the whole way through. Friggin Wingate on the othe side of Monroe is where they change from 55 to 35 to 40 to 55 to 35 to 30 to 55 in about a three mile stretch!
