350Z
Just had a interesting drive home, a 350Z was looking my GT over very carefuly, wasn't sure what he was up to, but he looked like he couldn't decide if he should challenge or not...
I was tired an really didnt feel like any games... but... What is known out there about the nissan?
It looked like he had the same questions running through his head about the GT... kind of like fencing but not moving in for a kill. I was wondering if he was the predator or prey

RE: 350Z
The base model has 287hp, and the track and anniversary editions have 300hp.
Heres stats ive seen for the 287hp models
0-60 mph : 5.4 sec.
0-¼ mile : 14.1 sec @ 101.0 mph
The 300hp ones run high 13s

RE: 350Z
I guess it depends which engine/model he had the Coupe or the Roadster
here are the 2 engine specs for the 350Z:
3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine
287 hp @ 6,200 rpm
274 lb-ft @ 4,800 rpm
3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine
300 hp @ 6,400 rpm
260 lb-ft @ 4,800 rpm
Hmm..I'd like to see that after my break in period is over.

RE: 350Z
I used to run with 350Zs all the time in my RX8....and it only had 238 HP. Pretty close match with the RX8 because of the weight factor. Plus, with 9K RPMs on tap with the RX8, I'd always blow by them when they were shifting (and I wasn't). Put it against a Mustang GT (which has a better shifting gearbox) and I'd say you could take a Z....not by a lot, but you should still be able to take them. The Zs shifter is its downfall.

RE: 350Z
The 350 Z is overrated. I have raced 2. One from a roll in my auto '04, he was 6 speed and I beat him by a car from 60 to 100. One at the track and its best all night was 14.4. I was running 13.8s. My friend also beat a stock 6 speed from a stop and his car runs low 14s. The '05 Mustang will win.
