I think for what it is, they did a faithful representation on the car, except like said earlier, should of had the louvers maybe...............

I watched that popular machanics video, and I don't see how you can fall in love with the exhaust just based on that. I could barely hear it. Just sounded like any other car revving.

RE: I'm Frank Bullitt!
great video! Looks like the car made it down from SF to what looks like Pacific Palisades...
I'll keep my eyes open!
I hope those cars aren't going to the dealerships after the thrashing they're being given!
I noticed a few things from the video.
One was that the exhaust note is better but much more like the S197 GT's than the original Bullitt's.
Also when the car gets the brakes slammed on going into that turn, it still went straight for a bit! Upgraded brake pads are good, but there's still a lot of weight in the front!
Also... were there never any fog lights on the original? I might miss mine!

Geeeeee I would wait in a few months from now and see the newest Stang GT...............
I am sure the newest GT for 2009 will have more HP in it.........And its only a few months away...
Thats what I am waiting for with my tradin of my 2006 stang Gt........
Let the dealers raise the freaking price with this stang.............
Ford lost sooooooo much money and is rated as JUNK in the stock market....
I am sure in 2008 dealers will try to sell many more cars because Ford might not be around in the next few years...........................JT

RE: I'm Frank Bullitt!
I shopped the markup in my area. One dealer whom I've bought several units from before had ordered one the first day they could be ordered a week or so back. He will put my name on it for a $2800 markup. Is this reasonable as other dealers tell me they might have a problem just ordering it, which I assume is a line they use in order to hit me with the markup figure.
Anyway, for those who would buy the car to begin with or who otherwise objectively can view purchasing one, is $2800 a horrid markup?
