Default iPod Hookup - What are my choices?

What are the choices out there to hookup my iPod to my Shaker 1000? (no, I don't want to get an aftermarket headunit right now)

I've heard of TripTunes from Ford, but what are my other options?

I don't have a shaker, just the base cd player in an 07, however if you have an AUX button on the stereo, there should be a line input jack inside of the center armrest. Ours has one, we just got a 1/8" to 1/8" cord to go from the Ipod to the line input. Hit the AUX button and navigate through the ipod. Works like a charm.

[sm=exactly.gif] I've done it before. I even have my XM hooked up that way. Works great. I have the cable tucked under the console trim.

Yeah, I think the 07's are the first to have that. It's nice

I could be wrong, but I heard that the trip tunes thing is just an FM Modulator.

The search is a big pile of crap.

I use the iSimple ISFD71, got it at Best Buy for $99.
It has all of the same parts as other Peripheral Electronicskits but cheaper.
It lets you control the iPod from the shaker, and displays info as well.
it is the best setup for a stock headunit, the best setup it to buy a indash touch screen.

Not true. It actually uses ethernet cabling.

Yeah me too, would make my life a whole lot easier. Anyone have any install instructions for the iSimple or the Peripheral Electronics kits?
