Sylvania silverstars?

Ive had mine in since May '07, but I can see where Sonic is coming from. I used to run ST's in my 95 Tacoma and the damn things would last about 3-4months, and would always **** out on a trip to LA or LV! The brightness was a lot better but the life of the lamp made me switch back to standard. Definitely keep the stocks in the trunk just in case!

That's funny...I've had mine in since about a week after I bought my car, Dec. 8th, 2006. I haven't had to replace them yet...

they don't last much longer than 6 months just so you know. waste of money IMO.

RE: Sylvania silverstars?
I'vebeen usingSilverstars in my SUV for about 4 years now. My SUV's DRL's use the regular headlights but at about 40% ilumination so the bulbs get a lot of use. Yes, Silverstars DO burnout sooner than other bulbs. And in my SUV with the DRL's on full-time they last 6-12 months. But I like them enough thatI'll keep using them.

Not sure who makes the stock ones, but it may have something to do with the Taco having sealed beam lamps instead of just the bulb replacement. Silverstars like the taste of American better than Japanese!
BTW... anyone know someone on here good with HID/Xenon retrofits that can offer some help?
