LOL! Hopefully 96GT was joking... don't ever cut your springs. You'll have the wrong spring rate and unpredictable handling, nevermind that annoying bouncing effect. And for the record that nonesense isn't reserved for imports. I've seen plenty of Neons, Aleros, Crapaliers, Monte Carlos, Impalas, etc. that are suffering from the same.
If you can afford it I highly recommend going with coilovers (such as from Maximum Motorsports). They provide significantly better handling, feedback, etc. and you can set your rideheight exactly where you want it (as opposed to where the springs you bought leave it). They also give you adjustible dampening in some cases and allow room under the wheel wells for wider tires/wheels. Springs are cheaper, but you get what you pay for. As for needing an alignment it just depends. If the car is lowered a lot, then you most likely will need one. I put Eibachs on my 98 Mustang though and when I had the alignment (just to be safe), there was no change to it. So, I payed for labor that wasn't necessary.

Lol yeah I was kidding about cutting the springs. I laugh so hard when I see those cars bouncing buy. I would say if you want to keep it under $300 then the Steedas would be the best. Followed by the Eibachs.

So what would be the most cost effective way of lowering the car? The 05 handles great with what it has.. but I would like to lower it an inch. can we do this with a good set of springs and leave everything else alone? or is camber and everything else going to go out of whack? [sm=boohoo.gif]

RE: Lowering your Mustang
I stopped at a nationally known Mustang speed shop two weeks ago. They noted that currently (in their opinion) its a little early for the handling mods. I don't think they were ditching the spring makers, as much as a road race quality strut for the full handling package after lowering.

Go into the "online catalog", then the kits are listed in the "front suspension" and "rear suspension" areas.
