The best custom plate would be one with a bunch of letters and numbers that don't spell out anything. It'll confuse the hell out of anyone behind you.

I have U WANT 1 in Texas. I wanted WHOA, WHOAA, or WHOAAA, but all of those were taken. We only have 6 characters here in Texas. On the plates, that is. We have lots of characters, LOL.

My favorite one I've seen on this forum is "GOT OATZ". I also like "BRB LOL" as in watch me leave you in the dust and then LMAO about it 
I've seen VIPRKLR on a Corvette here in Arkansas so they apparently don't care about killer references in plates.
