new alpine head unit...door subs not working
So i just installed a new alpine head unit and it came with two adaptors for the factory wiring harnesses....heres my problem...
1) there is a factory wiring harness that did not have anything to plug into
2) my two door subs are not working
3) one of the adaptors (the smaller one) plugged into a wiring harness and had two rcaplugs that plugged into the back of the head unit, but it also has two wires (both are blue and white) that say they are supposed to plug into the amp turn-on....i think that may be my problem
SOOOO
Why dont my door subs work?
What is the factory wiring harness that didnt plug into anything connected to?
What should i connect those two blue and white wires to? (amp turn-on?---what/where?)

RE: new alpine head unit...door subs not working
Mine didn't seem to work after installing an Alpine CDA-9857 until I turned on "BBE Mode". Even then, the subs never seem as loud as they did with the Shaker 500 that the car came with, which is actually fine with me.

Might want to check out TacoBill's install here: https://mustangforums.com/m_3552926/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm
Might give you some ideas.

I just installed an alpine not 3 days ago and had the same problem. I used both remote wires the white and blue the ones on the adapter with the rca cables, and connected it to the white and blue remote wire from the alpine connecter, works like a charm but you will get a pop sound when you turn on your system unless you get the volt reg from radio shack, look at tacobills write up on his alpine. hope this works for you

+1 on the voltage regulator.....
Also, if you find everything is hooked up correctly, I know on my Alpine, there is a button on the front called "MX" which basically turns on what I would call the graphic equalizer, which allows custom setting of base, treble, etc....Without that turned on, mine sounds pretty crappy....Sounds great when switched on.....

Well im glad you got it fixed, but i was gonna say that if you didnt, i had an idea for you....
you could trade me your door panels with the sub speaker hole, for mine without them, and hide the door subs and just pretend they werent there....
but glad to hear u fixed it.

it would have been more wierd if you were from baltimore like i am, i assumed you were based off of LAXplayer, since baltimore has been like the hotbed of lacrosse, but i forget that now its becoming much more a national sport. Just 10 years ago, baltimore was one of the only areas that played, i played in the MIAA which is supposedly the toughest high school lacrosse league in the nation
