I have the off-road x pipe, I had issues with hangers contacting the brackets on the car. It caused a terrible harmonic problem, but was easily adjusted, once I found it. Solid piece.

Default RE: X PIPE

I wanted to UPDATE my experience with the X-pipe the original poster was asking about, I purchased this X-pipe from brenspeed a couple of weeks ago. After reading a few posts about it, I was very hesitent about cutting my original exhaust. Well this past weekend I decided to do it. My original concern was all of a sudden introducing that dreaded "Drone" that so many people seem to get, which is why I spent the extra money originally for the Corsa axle backs, so I didn't have that problem. After installing this x-pipe I was actually pleased with the sound (which at normal idle and running speed may actually be quieter than the H pipe) and I do NOT have that Drone!!! Trust me, I have it bad on my F-150, so I know all about that noise.

Now the down side.....Pypes should be ashamed at the fitment of this pipe!!! first problem, the ends that were expanded to fit over the original stock pipes weren't expanded enough. This would be a problem for someone trying to do this in his driveway!!! second. I ended up having to cut off one of the hangars, and re-welding it about 2" from the original spot to make this work...again, probably not something you want to try to figure out in your driveway. My suggestion, If you're going to purchase this item, expect to have to get a muffler shop involved with the installation, I don't think this is something you even can do if you have the same issues that I had, unless you had access to the tools I have access to.

I have this pipe sitting in my garage, but I'm not sure I even want to install it now??? Does anyone have anything GOOD to say about this X-pipe?

I'm not planning on LT's anytime soon, and I have Corsa's out back.
This is pretty much the same exact setup Im running. I think it sounds great.
