does anyone know ifthe fordwarranty covers paint bubbling. its starting to bubble around where my hood pin bracket screws into the hood. its looks as if someone would have painted over rust, but its a fiberglass hood but it looks like that. and yes car is under warranty.

The hood is aluminum. You didn't get any brake fluid on it did you? If it's near your hood pins then they might try to blame them.

I don't even have a hood liner and I've not seen any bubbling. I do have a few chips though.[:@]

its in 3 differentspots right around the plate that screws to the hood. definately havent spilled anything on it. would the warranty cover something like this?

It usually happens on the Front Center of the Hood, but I've also seen it along the edge where it meets the Windshield. And yes it's covered by the Warranty.

They told me that paint and glass were not covered by the warranty. Could be wrong though.

so heres the deal. i took it in and they will cover it under my warranty, the only thing is that they will need my car for 5 days they said. i dont want to go that long with a rental car so i opted for them to order my the cs6 carroll shelby hood, but they looked at me like i didnt know what i was talking about. id rather them have my car for a day putting on the hood, plus i dont care for the cheap scoop on my hood. and no the hood i want isnt covered under warranty. so it will be out of pocket.

Ford wouldn't touch my hood when the paint started to act up. 4 different dealers in 3 different states. Bull if you ask me. But o'well...

Can't see why not. You could have them fix it and then sell it if you must have the CS6 hood
